For 2011, the gardeners have decided to use Facebook to post updates regarding the progress of our bounty. Keep abreast of the garden by "friending" Peggy, Jane, or Virginia.
The amended beds seem to be doing very well, and our lettuce, kale, sugar snap peas, zucchini, tomatoes, cukes, and peppers have all survived the late frosts, heavy rain, and even the tornadoes that we've had so far this spring.
See you on FB!

Virginia and I met this morning to discuss our plans for the upcoming weeks. We took an inventory of our seeds left over from last year; planned our beds and discussed our to do list: Virginia will get the seeds started indoors; in the upcoming weeks we'll make a trip to Logan's for supplies needed for this season; till and amend the soil in our beds; reinforce and make sure the rain barrel is producing to its full potential and look into building shade frames in case the weather becomes too hot as it did last year. We're looking forward to a successful and bountiful season.
